I remember having to cheat on our survey form for our dissertation about their exposure to war-related video games. We lost 150 copies of answers from students who preferred answering "Not exposed at all." Frowning was the best solution at that time, and blaming the fault-finders would only provoke melee combat. I didn't want to get bludgeoned by my partners.

What we did was we duplicated the original copy of our survey form and answered it ourselves. It was hilarious and frustrating at the same time. Generating false names and eruditing the whole process just before the week's submission wasn't that bad - we had one unforgettable moment trashing the reputation of the names we had written on our form.
